Getaway To Legoland

Last week's events will be hard to forget. As the title states, we went to the theme park in Germany called Legoland, which is about six hours away from where we live. We left at about 4:00 AM local time on Wednesday. We arrived at the hotel we were staying at at 10:00 AM. Legoland was closed until the next day, so we went to Toysrus and to the zoo. I was particularly interested in the sea lions that they had. When we got back to the hotel, we decided to explore it. We found out that we were on the top floor and that there was a steaming hot sauna in a wooden building right outside the balcony. We also found out that there was a fitness center in the basement. I went there and exercised on one of their treadmills.

The next day we went to Legoland thirty minutes early. As soon as we got inside, we went to the Lego Extreme Test Track X Roller Coaster. The very first drop was huge. Then there were some twists and turns. Then came the very scary drop where you turn and go down at the same time. We were riding in a red Lego car that looked like it was made of Lego Technic pieces. Also, when you go down the first drop they take your picture. We did not know it then, but our mom and dad put bunny ears behind us. When we saw the picture, they laughed and laughed and laughed.

Then we went to the Bionicle Power Builder, which is an arm that turns you, twists you, and even flips you. And the best of all is that you get to choose what it does to you! The first time I went alone and the lady at the booth helped me by explaining to me what to do. "There are five levels," she said. "Level Five is the wildest and Level One is the gentlest." I chose Level Three. Then she told me to chose the moves I wanted the arm to do. Then the card came out of the slot and I was ready to take the matter to the extreme. The arm twisted me back and forth. Once it turned me in a strange way and then flipped me upside-down for a few seconds! The ride only lasted about fifty seconds, but it was worth it.

Then we went gold panning, where you can try to find chunks of gold just like people did in the old days. I started and found tons of pieces buried in the wet and moist sand. Then Dad and Hayden joined in. While Hayden and I were going for the prize, Dad helped us find some small gold pieces that were laying at the top. At the end, Hayden won a rock and I won a medal. I had succeeded in finding twenty pounds of gold.

After we went on a few other rides, we decided to visit the air show. They has a small helicopter that was doing tricks in the air such as doing flips, flying upside-down, and flying vertically. They also had a few real helicopters. It was a very neat Air Show.

After we had seen the Air Show, we decided to ride the Techno Tea Cups. You spin around in cups that look like Legos. It spins you in three different ways. Dad went on it with us one time, but got sick on it. He had to get off. Even though it was very exciting, almost all of us got sick from it. But it was still pretty cool.

After we rode a few other rides, it was time to say goodbye to Legoland. But until next time, the Bionicle Power Builder remains my favorite ride.

This sounds like a really fun vacation!!! I think it's neat that you can choose how you want to ride on the Bionicle Power Builder! By the way, your writing is outstanding!!! I really enjoy your blog, keep up the good work!
