A Small Delay - Plus A Sneak Peak

Dear readers,

There will be no updates to Tracking With Taylor from June 10 - June 20. I am sorry to say this, but the Recent Writings has had a few jams and will also not be working for some time until I can scoop up another one. The Lego Of The Week will be still functioning though, so you can be ready for that. Check out the newest one about the Lightning Attacker.

In other news, here is part of the picture for one of the upcoming Lego Of The Weeks.

Previous Lego Of The Week And Recent Writings Duo

Here is the Latest Lego Of The Week. Hope you enjoy this one.

Garano is a warrior who was long ago placed on Voya Nui (see bionicle year 2006) by the brotherhood of makuta to find the mask of life but while there, the mask of life turned him into a protector whose mission would be to guard the mask along with Vezon, Brutaka, Axonn, Umbra, and many others. He later followed the mask to the pit where the mask transformed him along with the other toa mahri (see bionicle year 2007). Following the toa at a distance, he finally used his power of shrinking to follow Matoro, whose mission was to get the mask under to where Voya Nui once was. Later the mask transformed him once again into a new being- a Phantoka, which is the matoran word for spirit in the air(see bionicle year 2008). But the rest of his story is unknown- For Now.
Includes over 50 pieces, protosteel claws, and wings the size of a Nui-Rama, and legs the size of a Muaka.

Here is the Recent Writings. It is about the Nintendo Wii. Enjoy It!

Wii

Everyone should have a wii console. Getting one will change your look on video games forever.

First, there are the games. You can play lots of exciting and mind twisting games. I can play to the beat in the game Guitar Hero 3. My brother can try to beat the computer at tennis in the game Wii Sports. We can both race on bulls in the game Wii Games.

Second, there is the Mii channel. In this feature you can make your own character called a mii. I can put some cool glasses on my crazy looking mii. My mother can change hairstyles for her cute mii. My brother can create a mii that looks like me.

In addition, there are the cool extra accessories. I can buy a blue skin for my wii remote. Hayden can get the numb chucks upgrade where you get an extra controller. My friend can get an extra large scanner to detect the movement of the wii remote.

Also, there are the remotes. I can use the remote to make a super fast ball in the game Wii Sports. Hayden can use it to catch fish in the game Wii Games. We can both buy another controller if we want to play in pairs.

So as you can see, the Wii is the latest and coolest game console because you can make your own character, buy cool skins, and because you can get extra remotes to do an all out battle. Don’t you want to get one?

Previous Recent Writings: Club Penguin

Here it is. The next Recent Writings at the bottom is very short, so don't be disappointed. But this one is pretty long. Enjoy!

Club Penguin

By Taylor Johnson

Everyone should have a Club Penguin account. Why? Read this article to find out.

First, there are the pins. Every two weeks a new pin is hidden around the island. These pins are available to anyone. In the past, they have had book pins, box pins, space ship pins, and even needle pins. The pins are meant to show what you like best or your hobbies. You can only have one pin at a time on your player card, but your account stores any pins you have already found, so you can change pins any time you want.

Next, we have clothing. I can get free clothing for parties and holidays. A few days ago I found the giant leprechaun hat. My brother can buy clothing from the monthly catalog. But there is a catch. To buy clothes from the catalog, you have to have the Club Penguin Membership. You will learn more about that in a minute. In the back of the magazine, you can buy backgrounds. You do not need to have the C.P. Membership to buy these.

Third, there is the Club Penguin Membership. You can buy furniture, upgrade your igloo, buy all the clothes you want (considering you have enough Club Penguin coins), and get upgrades for games. This offer is only $6.95 a month. I have tried it for three months, and I think it is worth it. But you get bored after a while. For more information about the membership, go to clubpenguin.com.

Also, there are coins. Everyone knows that to buy things, you need money. In this case, they are Club Penguin fish coins. You can earn coins by playing games such as Hydro Hopper, Ice fishing, Puffle Roundabout, Cart Surfer, or even Connect Four. There is also a new feature on how to get coins. Just go to the Book Room above the Coffee Shop and go to the books called “Paint By Letters.” So far, they have two books. You have to type to get coins. The second book is really long.

In fifth place, we have puffles. Puffles are cute little fur balls that come in seven colors: Blue, Red, Black, Purple, Pink, Green, and Yellow. Each puffle costs 800 C.P. coins. Puffles are cute because of how they play, what they eat, and because you can walk them anywhere. Each puffle eats the same food, but eat it a different way. Puffles have two or three normal play modes and one super play mode. Non-members can only buy two puffles- the red one and the blue one. They can only have two at a time. But members can get as many puffles as they want.

But I think the best reason of all to play on Club Penguin is you can meet and help friends and new kids. You can give a tour to new penguins. I can ask lots of penguins to be my friend. My friends and I can play two-player games together. One of the most famous penguins on Club Penguin is the adventurous Captain Rockhopper. He has a gigantic black beard and a scary looking pirate’s hat. He always wears the red color. He is very friendly and has his own ship called “The Migrator.” He is very neat.

So as you can see, Club penguin is not only great because you can play games, get coins, and wear clothes, but also because you can make new friends. Why don’t you try this cool online multiplayer game yourself?

Previous Lego Of The Week: Garano (Karda Nui Fighter)

Here is the next previous Lego Of The Week. Hope you like it.

Includes over 50 pieces, protosteel claws, a larger shrinking staff than his original form at Voya Nui and Mahri Nui, and the ability to fly from special protosteel wings attached to his arms. He also moves faster than any other creature that is known in the Bionicle universe.

Getaway To Legoland

Last week's events will be hard to forget. As the title states, we went to the theme park in Germany called Legoland, which is about six hours away from where we live. We left at about 4:00 AM local time on Wednesday. We arrived at the hotel we were staying at at 10:00 AM. Legoland was closed until the next day, so we went to Toysrus and to the zoo. I was particularly interested in the sea lions that they had. When we got back to the hotel, we decided to explore it. We found out that we were on the top floor and that there was a steaming hot sauna in a wooden building right outside the balcony. We also found out that there was a fitness center in the basement. I went there and exercised on one of their treadmills.

The next day we went to Legoland thirty minutes early. As soon as we got inside, we went to the Lego Extreme Test Track X Roller Coaster. The very first drop was huge. Then there were some twists and turns. Then came the very scary drop where you turn and go down at the same time. We were riding in a red Lego car that looked like it was made of Lego Technic pieces. Also, when you go down the first drop they take your picture. We did not know it then, but our mom and dad put bunny ears behind us. When we saw the picture, they laughed and laughed and laughed.

Then we went to the Bionicle Power Builder, which is an arm that turns you, twists you, and even flips you. And the best of all is that you get to choose what it does to you! The first time I went alone and the lady at the booth helped me by explaining to me what to do. "There are five levels," she said. "Level Five is the wildest and Level One is the gentlest." I chose Level Three. Then she told me to chose the moves I wanted the arm to do. Then the card came out of the slot and I was ready to take the matter to the extreme. The arm twisted me back and forth. Once it turned me in a strange way and then flipped me upside-down for a few seconds! The ride only lasted about fifty seconds, but it was worth it.

Then we went gold panning, where you can try to find chunks of gold just like people did in the old days. I started and found tons of pieces buried in the wet and moist sand. Then Dad and Hayden joined in. While Hayden and I were going for the prize, Dad helped us find some small gold pieces that were laying at the top. At the end, Hayden won a rock and I won a medal. I had succeeded in finding twenty pounds of gold.

After we went on a few other rides, we decided to visit the air show. They has a small helicopter that was doing tricks in the air such as doing flips, flying upside-down, and flying vertically. They also had a few real helicopters. It was a very neat Air Show.

After we had seen the Air Show, we decided to ride the Techno Tea Cups. You spin around in cups that look like Legos. It spins you in three different ways. Dad went on it with us one time, but got sick on it. He had to get off. Even though it was very exciting, almost all of us got sick from it. But it was still pretty cool.

After we rode a few other rides, it was time to say goodbye to Legoland. But until next time, the Bionicle Power Builder remains my favorite ride.
