Easter
Easter is a great and wonderful holiday. Come and join me for a great and exciting summary of it.
First of all, we have crafts. I can make strange-looking Easter egg holders with the pictures of the cross, Scooby Doo, and even Pokémon, which I found on dltk.com. Then Mom will suck out the yellow and gooey egg yolk out of the egg (we do it this way because if you hard-boil the egg, it starts to rot and stink after a few days). In the end we can all paint the empty and fragile Easter eggs with bright and colorful colors.
Another reason to celebrate Easter is the famous Easter break. Not only can you stay up late, but you also get to play more of the electronic computer and the small, portable Nintendo DS Lite (considering you have any and your concerned parents let you). If it is bright and sunny weather, you can go out and roller blade, ride your sports-bike, or even jog (also considering you have the right gear).
But I think the most important reason of all to celebrate Easter is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Lamb of God and Savior of the world. Here is my favorite verse that represents Easter: John 3:16, which says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life.” I also like Romans 6:23 and John 11:25.
So as you can see from this exciting topic, Easter is not only great because of painting Easter eggs and having a week’s break from school, but also because it is the celebration of how God used his only son to forgive us our sins. Don’t you like this holiday yourself?
